
BUTTE CITIZENS FOR PRESERVATION AND REVITALIZATION (CPR)
Butte Citizens for Preservation and Revitalization is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the many historic buildings of Butte, Montana - the largest historic landmark district in the nation.
Butte CPR works to preserve historic buildings by awarding grants; conducting educational tours, workshops, and lectures; providing volunteer labor; and serving as a preservation advocate with local government, business, and civic groups.
Since its founding in 1994, Butte CPR has had a positive impact on dozens of buildings, both residential and commercial.

BUTTE-SILVER BOW PUBLIC ARCHIVES
The Butte-Silver Bow Public Archives was established in 1981 to meet the growing need of a place to house Butte, Montana’s historical documents. The mission of the Archives is to maintain the non-current government record of Butte-Silver Bow as well as historical photographs and manuscripts relating to Butte’s history. We provide public access to our collections, work with educators to connect students with their local history, and provide service to the preservation community of Butte-Silver Bow.

BUTTE-SILVER BOW HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION
The local historic preservation program promotes the preservation of historic resources throughout the city-county of Butte-Silver Bow. The Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) in cooperation with the local historic preservation office, identifies, evaluates, and protects historic and prehistoric resources with the city and county as well as providing general information and education about these resources.
Mary McCormick is the Historic Preservation Officer for Butte-Silver Bow. She has held the post since 2015

URBAN REVITALIZATION AGENCY (URA)
The Urban Revitalization Agency (URA) is a tax increment district designed to promote the redevelopment and stimulation of investment within the central business district. The URA is funded by tax increment financing and makes loans and grants for private buildings in the uptown area, and invests in other public and private improvements.

SUPERFUND ADVISORY & REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (SARTA)
The objective of the Butte-Silver Bow Redevelopment Trust Authority is to :
Evaluate and direct plans, programs and projects which promote redevelopment of properties affected by past mining activities;
Review and direct plans and infrastructure improvements which maintain or improve remedies previously implemented
Review proposals that promote economic development and activities that provide incentives for growth and promote the reuse of land within the Butte-Priority Soils Operable Unit.

MONTANA STATE HISTORIC PRESERVATION OFFICE (SHPO)
SHPO works together with all Montanans to promote the preservation of our state's historic and cultural places. From 10,000-year-old archaeological sites to 100-year-old homestead farms, a lot of history has unfolded beneath the big Montana sky. We encourage people across the state to identify, document, recognize and protect the heritage sites of Montana, preserving our rich cultural landscape for generations to come.
